When you are a new parent there is a lot of new gear to buy, diapers and white noise machines and breast pump. Willow is currently having a sale on its smart breast pumps and breast pump sets that take $ 75 off the price of its devices. The company’s bra, portable and cordless pumps are reduced to $ 425 for a two-pump pump configuration both on Amazon and Willow website (you will need the code PUMP if you go through Willow). You can also bundle it up and include additional flanges in two sizes (21mm and 24mm) or add reusable containers for $ 475.
The two pump set includes the pumps, two flanges, two cleaning brushes and 24 disposable four ounce milk bags. Additional flanges cost $ 30 for two at the Willow site, and reusable storage containers cost $ 50 for a pack of two. The pumps connect to a smartphone app that can help breastfeeding parents keep track of how much they collect, and Willow pumps feature splash-proof technology that allows the wearer to move around freely without fear of overturning.
We have found the anti-splash feature particularly useful in our tests Willow’s pumps. We also liked the options to use a disposable bag or reusable container and the “flip-to-finish” feature that helps catch the last drops of milk. However, the Bluetooth connection was sometimes spotty and the pumps are both quite loud and quite prominent when worn. That being said, it was worth having the option to wear a pump while looking after a baby instead of being tethered to a wall outlet with a traditional pump.
