A Walgreens spokesperson today confirmed that Mehra, who joined Walgreens in January 2019, “made the decision” to leave the company. Its last day will be February 2.

Under his leadership, the Walgreens Boots Alliance also expanded its relationship with the WPP agency, which manages the brand’s public relations, marketing and advertising efforts. This agreement is in place until 2022, with the parties having the option of extending it until 2024.
At the time of publication, representatives for Walgreens had not responded to a request for comment on Mehra’s successor.
Prior to joining Walgreens Boots Alliance, Mehra was Marketing Director and Revenue Director of Ancestry and spent three years in various marketing roles at Johnson & Johnson.
