The time of the lawyer | Seth’s Blog

The Perfect Avocado… Sometimes they’re too tough and often rotten.

But every now and then you’ll feed an avocado until it’s at its best in flavor and texture.

You are certainly not going to waste it.

You’re not going to sacrifice it for some sort of smoothie, or even hide it in a sandwich. It’s for the other guys, the less valuable.

And even…

This Zoom call that we are on, the precious one, where all the right people are on the call, at the same time, ready to see and be seen – you’re really going to spend the first ten minutes taking us around the room and say our names? Is that so?

This gathering that we’ve all come to, when we could, or when we could again – we’re really going to sit at tables for 10, yelling at each other, while we put up with the loud music and eat lousy food. ?

This interaction that we have with the busy professional, the one that we were waiting for, are you going to spend it reciting things that we have already noted on a form?

Face to face is like a perfect lawyer. The cost of synchronization time, of real-time interaction time, is time that we don’t get anymore.

Time is priceless. But the times when we have the opportunity to connect, to be in sync, to bring out the best in each other – it’s a time worth cherishing.

Don’t waste it if you can. Treat it like avocado time.
