Huawei’s foldable Mate X2 to launch on February 22

Despite earlier rumors Huawei may be in the process of separating from its mainstream business, the company continues to launch a new flagship phone – even a foldable one – later this month. According to the head of Huawei Weibo Counting, the Chinese brand’s next foldable phone is simply called the Mate X2, and it will be unveiled on February 22.

Interestingly, the teaser image suggests that the flexible screen will fold inward this time, unlike how the Mate Xs and Companion X had foldable screens facing outward. Whereas Huawei once beaten down prototypes similar to those of Samsung Galaxy fold (and his successor), it’s interesting to see the company do a literal 180 for their next foldable.
