How CBS quietly sold out Super Bowl commercials earlier than usual, despite a pandemic


In an NFL season filled with unexpected twists and turns, CBS has saved one of the biggest surprises for last. Despite public perception that its Super Bowl advertising market has been weak due to the pandemic, with some mainstream Big Game advertisers opting out this year, a spokesperson for ViacomCBS said on Wednesday he had “Practically sold out” of its in-game inventory.
