Google is ending support for another of its flagship VR products. In one blog post spotted by Protocol, the company said it was halting development on Tilt brush and open source of the project so that the community can continue to use the application.
“To some it may look like the end of Tilt Brush. For me it is immortality, ” said Patrick Hackett, co-creator of Tilt Brush, of the Google decision. Incidentally, Hackett left the company earlier this month. For its part, Google said that the move will allow “everyone to learn how we built the project” and encourage them to “take directions that are close and dear to them.”
