Were you able to buy a PlayStation 5? If so, good for you. Otherwise, well, join the club. Sony’s new game console has been very difficult to buy since its release in November – so much so that people have resorted to sniper bots, inside sources and other shady practices to avoid the melee and hang this PS5.
This week, we’re joined by Alan Henry and Saira Mueller of the WIRED Video Game Team, and Jeffrey Van Camp of the WIRED Review Team to talk about the issues that are preventing PS5 supplies. They will also tell us about their own experiences when trying to buy a console. At the end of the show, we share some buying tips that you can use on your own quest to get this year’s rarest gaming gadget.
Saira’s recommendation is to try cryotherapy. Brrr! Alan recommends Discord, which is great for games. Jeff recommends that you get a snow shovel because you never know when you’ll need it. Lauren recommends it CBS Guide how you can help people in Texas during this deadly cold weather. Mike recommends the show Vice Hamilton Pharmacopoeia, now in its third season.
