People talk about ego like it’s a bad thing. But our desire to do a good job, our self-confidence, our willingness to dance with fear – these are fuels if used correctly.
Egomania pushes us to ignore useful feedback, to bristle at the entrance and refuse to do work to improve ourselves in our profession. It is actually a sign of fear and weakness.
The strength of the ego, on the other hand, makes us want to know more, engage with the market, and understand what it will take for the project to really succeed.
